The funicular railway that connected the city of Verona to the hill of “Castel San Pietro”, of fascist period, consists of the downstream and upstream stations and of the path. On the structure assays on the walls, on the beams and floors, surveys inclined in foundation, masonry and concrete coring tests, inspection by videoscope, sonic tests, tests by covermeter, tensile testing of steel bars and compression of carrots, stones and bricks, mineralogical and petrographic studies of samples of mortar and stone were performed.
