The Cathedral of “San Pietro” in Guastalla (RE) had been damaged by the earthquake in Emilia in May 2012. A campaign of experimental investigations including flat jack tests, sonic tomographic tests on pillars, tests for determining the tension of chains with dynamic method and sampling of mortar for analysis in laboratory was carried out to understand the characteristics of the structures.
