A comprehensive campaign of diagnostic investigations and structural controls was carried out to evaluate the safety of “Tempio Monumentale di San Nicolò” in Carpi (MO). Information about the mechanical properties of the masonry (single and double flat jack test jack), about the tension in the tie rods (with dynamic method) and on the structural behavior of the whole structure in terms of modal parameters (overall dynamic identification for ambient vibrations) were obtained.
